Increased Tissue Factor Activity of Monocytes/Macrophages Isolated From Canine Renal Allografts

ثبت نشده
چکیده

Kidney allografting was performed in a group of ten beagles. and viable leukocytes infiltrating the transplanted organs were isolated during episodes of acute rejection 5 or 6 days postoperatively. These infiltrate populations, consisting predominantly of lymphocytes and monocytes/ macrophages. were found to have significantly increased amounts of procoagulant activity relative to control leukocytes isolated from circulating blood and lymph. Using nonspecific esterase staining in an agar microclot assay.

Blood Cell Growth Factors

SUMMARY Growth factors or colony stimulating factors (CSFs)recently became the subject of headlines around the world. Many published articles in the last few years indicate that the CSFs can correct anemia and pancytopenia of the great majority of patients. Recombinant CSFs are available to the many scientific and therapeutic centers in the U.S.A, Europe and Japan these days. Erythrop oieti...

Macrophage-derived interleukin-18 in experimental renal allograft rejection.

BACKGROUND Interleukin 18 (IL-18) is primarily a macrophage-derived, pro-inflammatory cytokine. As macrophages can act as effector cells in acute rejection, we examined the role of IL-18 in a rat model of acute renal allograft rejection. METHODS Life-sustaining orthotopic DA to Lewis allograft and Lewis-Lewis isograft kidney transplants were performed. In the same model, macrophage-depleted a...

NFκB decoy oligodeoxynucleotides reduce monocyte infiltration in renal allografts.

Monocyte influx secondary to ischemia-reperfusion conditions the renal allograft to rejection by presentation of antigens and production of cytokines. Monocyte influx depends on NFκB-dependent transcription of genes encoding adhesion molecules and chemokines. Here we demonstrate that cationic liposomes containing phosphorothioated oligodeoxynucleotides (ODN) with the κB binding site serving as ...

Monocytic Tissue Transglutaminase in a Rat Model for Reversible Acute Rejection and Chronic Renal Allograft Injury

Acute rejection is a major risk factor for chronic allograft injury (CAI). Blood leukocytes interacting with allograft endothelial cells during acute rejection were suggested to contribute to the still enigmatic pathogenesis of CAI. We hypothesize that tissue transglutaminase (Tgm2), a multifunctional protein and established marker of M2 macrophages, is involved in acute and chronic graft rejec...
